Charlotte Greve, die hauptsächlich durch das „Lisbeth Quartett“ bekannt ist, und Keisuke Matsuno vom „Trio Schmetterling“ spielen diese Musik mit dem aus Dublin
stammenden Bassisten Simon Jermyn (regelmäßig zu hören mit Loren Stillman, Jim Black) und dem Schlagzeuger Jim Black (Alas No Axis, Endangered Blood). Alle vier leben in New York und machen Musik, die der Altsaxophonist Andrew D’Angelo so beschreibt:

“As I listen to ‘Wood River’ I keep coming back to the vision of a landscape – one of those paintings that seem simple enough when you first look at it but once you really ‘dig in’ you find the painting bursting with life and emotion. (…) The musicians are living outside the established boundaries and create beautiful music that is reaching out into the ether while still tethered to musicality.
